It was such a delight and honor to photograph the Knight family for a full portrait session! I traveled past my hometown of Vernon, Alabama to Detroit to and met the Knight’s on their family property. They had the perfect farm setting for the portraits and I was so excited to spend quality time with this family! Our second location would be at a nearby farmer’s cotton field. Luckily it wasn’t cut before the session (since they were mid-harvest!!).

We started the session with the whole family and broke out into family units & kids. With littles, I try to follow their schedules because let’s face it, toddlers have a schedule of their own! However, these two littles, Sawyer & Sadie were absolutely amazing for this session!?! It is pretty standard for kids to hide, cry, or have a complete meltdown as soon as a camera comes out. But these two were troopers. It probably helped that there were a lot of hands on deck to help!

I so much enjoyed working with this family – everyone was genuinely kind and love and I knew that these photos would be amazing. I delivered the gallery to the family after finally narrowing down 500+ images to about 180 and this is just a small sample of their full gallery!

 

After group shots, we had to get some of just Mr. & Mrs. Knight!

Then we get the family back together – this is one of my favorite poses because everyone genuinely starts laughing and its great!!

We worked hard to get some shots with paw paw,  a little bit of cotton and a whole lot of convincing!

It was so hard trying to pick images for this post! whew! Such a gorgeous little family and what a precious memory to have for years to come!
