The moment the Smalley’s showed up to their session I knew I would ADORE their pictures and so would they! But leading up to their session, along with the other fall minis, there was a little uncertainty about the fall setting.

A last minute cancellation from a local vendor (literally the day before a shoot) put me in a really difficult spot. We had already delayed the fall minis due to a hurricane the week prior and now I was trying to figure out where we would host fall minis! I decided on the Ol’ Colony Golf course near Sokol Park in Tuscaloosa – a super fantastic public location great for taking portraits, hosting mini sessions, or hanging out with friends for some golf 😉 I absolutely love the tall grasses by the practice range that provide a dreamy background – it ended up being absolutely perfect for the session!

When I saw the Smalley’s outfits I was instantly in love. First, I am a sucker for pastels – that is my jam! but I could tell they had planned SO well for this session! I send a session styling guide to all my clients even for mini sessions!! In 15 short minutes clients can have a gallery of 40+ images to choose from and these images can really wow friends and family simply by what you wear! Attire can really elevate your session, even if it’s a mini session!!
