One thing I absolutely love about my passion for photography is the amazing photography group I have connected with online who share the same passion and love for their craft. Through this group I was able to connect with Meredith Lee of Meridith Lee Photography for Alyssa & Chase’s wedding at Castle Grove Plantation in Meridian, Mississippi.
Guys, let me just tell you first, Meridith is one of the most kind, sweet, caring photographers I have ever met. Immediately you can tell that God has given her a gift to love and serve her clients with grace and a gentle heart. Her commitment to serving God goes beyond photography and she is a perfect representation of a Christ centered life, someone I admire to be like!
Meridith was so gracious in allowing me to be a part of this wonderful wedding at Castle Grove Plantation, which alone was an absolutely stunning venue. The attention to detail inside this barn was phenomenal, I can see why it easily attracts brides who are looking for a graceful southern wedding with a touch of rustic detail!
When working weddings alongside a lead photographer, I often don’t have a whole lot of backstory about the bride and groom, so throughout the day I essentially get to learn their story & journey that lead them together. I also learn of their love, highs & lows, and how they have come to be one. Over and over I fall more in love with being at weddings – the romance & fairytale stories and details just draw me in! And I love getting to capture the details of the day!
Here is just a small sample of the images I captured alongside Meridith. For the full effect, you should check out her blog!!
From the elegantly beaded dress to the beautifully cut diamond ring every detail was so perfectly done!
Alyssa was so stunning, she was a gorgeous bride!
You could tell Alyssa & her mom were close – and look at moms dress! It is one of the most elegant mother of the bride dresses with a soft lilac color with sleeves that draped off the shoulder and beading throughout.
Every detail of Alyssa’s dress was so intricate and carefully beaded.
I love the moment when a bride surprises her best friends, getting to see their reactions is priceless!
Alyssa reads Chase’s vows
You can always count on the groomsmen to make the groom smile! Just ask them to make him laugh and they sure will go to town cutting up because after all, they’re all friends and thats what friends do best!
Alyssa waits patiently for a first look with her dad.
She is so beautiful! And so are the details!
A bouquet of flowers rests gently in the first row, first chair as a symbol for Chase’s mom.
Wedding time! The barn doors opened to reveal our bride & her father as they start towards the alter.
Presenting Mr. & Mrs.!
I was able to grab a few couples shots before ushering quickly to the venue to arrive before guests while Meridith shot all the true portraits! Go see her blog post to see ALL the amazing pictures!
At the venue, The MSU Riley Center, I worked to capture the details before the guests arrived!
I love an elegant cake that is lightly decorated, it really is simply & classic!
