Meet Jeetika Yadav, a PhD candidate at The University of Alabama’s department of Chemistry. Jeetika is originally from India but has been residing in Tuscaloosa for the past five years! So when Jeetika contacted me about a portrait session, I was thrilled to help highlight her natural beauty against a natural setting.
Jeetika wanted to take a break from the Chem lab and do something for herself. What better way to take a break from the books than a fun portrait session at Tuscaloosa’s Capitol Park. Her beautiful dark hair contrasts the light background so beautifully. This is possibly one of my favorite types of portrait sessions. Sometimes you don’t need a big event or fancy reason to get pictures, you just need a little break 😉
She was actually inspired by Abby’s senior portrait session at Capital Park. If you find a session or location you love, we can build a session to match! Take a look at these gorgeous portraits from Jeetika’s session:
After a quick outfit change, we took a for more shots against some of Capitol park’s architectural structures.
The natural stones are a beautiful contrast against pops of color and casual attire.
In the next segment, we set the jacket aside to add some diversity to her session. Her neutral color palette paired so well with the brick structures.
Next time you’re thinking about getting some portraits made, you don’t have to have a fancy reason to dress up! Sometimes in life you just need to take a break from the normal and have some awesome portraits made!
