Kayla & Alex had a gorgeous spring Bayside engagement session. And when I say bayside, I’m talking about Daphne, Alabama. Specifically Bayside Academy, where Alex went to school growing up! How cute! They asked special permission from their high school campus that we would be allowed to host their engagement session there, and the weather was absolutely beautiful. One thing I love about the Mobile Bay area are those gorgeous trees with the romantic Spanish moss. I also love having engagement sessions at unique places and I was so glad they wanted to incorporate this meaningful spot in their portraits!
I remember getting a message on facebook from Kayla asking about her wedding date, and luckily I was free! But the reason she reached out to me!? I had photographed her friends wedding! (Carson & Joel Taylor) I love making connections like that – being able to serve clients and eventually their friends!
Meeting Kayla & Alex, I knew they were simply adorable together. And would you believe they met on Tinder!? How cool is that! The whole time during our session we were joking, laughing, and having the best time. This is what I love about my job, having a great time while capturing those precious memories together.
We started their session on the lawn of the main campus as Bayside. Later we traveled down to the beach area. Let me just say, how cool it would be to not only go to a school that was on the bay but also had its own private beach and pier. It was such a romantic setting and with weather that you absolutely could not beat. I am beyond excited for their wedding this October!
