A June Wedding in Tuscaloosa, Alabama at Seven Oaks Farm was full of love, and a little bit of rain. Actually, a lot of rain. Okay, a lot more than a lot! On June 19th, a tropical storm had rolled in off the gulf with levels of rain that no one expected. Unprecedented flooding had many parts of Northport and Tuscaloosa under historical levels of water. Emergency alerts, lightning, a slight power outage. You could say that it was not an ideal day.

But with God’s grace, everything turned out beautiful. The staff at Seven Oaks and the team from The Grand Event Design, transformed the indoor space into a reception and ceremony space combined. Even the porches were not really an option with the high winds & rain. But ya’ll that room was beautiful. Between Jason and Leticia, I don’t think either of them stopped smiling the whole day. Both were so incredibly kind and gracious, and optimistic about everything! That is the kind of love we aspire for. The love that can brave the storm and see the joy and love through it all! Knowing at the end of the day, they would be marrying their best friend.

Naturally, we had to coordinate the day’s activities indoors and had a few breaks in the rain to do a few shots on the porch. I was so glad I was able to get some bride and groom individuals before the ceremony! I knew we were really pressed by rain and darkness following. But once again, everything turned out beautiful!

Leticia’s gorgeous lace gown and soft veil fit her exquisitely. She was an absolutely radiant bride. The groom wore a light sand tux and a soft pink tie with a simple white rose boutonniere.   Everything was so beautifully coordinated. Soft pinks, greens, whites, yellow & gold. From the details to down the aisle, these two were smiling through it all. When it came to the reception, the smiles only got bigger. Gorgeous lighting and stellar music were coordinated by DJ Lit entertainment. And the most amazing feature? The white smoke & indoor fireworks during their first dance. Yes you heard me! You have to see it to believe it! It was a magical first dance for sure.
